Context
Monton is a thriving and desirable suburb in Salford. It is popular for its village atmosphere and strong sense of community. Boasting both great commuter links and picturesque rural spots, it’s for these reasons that there is a high demand for high-quality homes as more and more young professionals look to move to the area.
Task
On the site of a former Salford engineering and metal fabrication works, a new urban regeneration scheme was planned to create 36 apartments for shared ownership. It was important that the design complemented the neighbourhood aesthetic and reflected the materials and design of existing adjoining properties.
